Wavelength online with numbers is a faster, simpler version of the spectrum game. Instead of moving a dial, the host secretly receives a number from 1 to 10. A 1 means the clue should feel close to the left end of the prompt, a 10 means it should feel close to the right end, and 5 or 6 means it should land near the middle.
This format is useful when your group wants a quick TikTok-style round, a classroom ice breaker, or a remote meeting game that does not need screen sharing precision. You can still play the full dial version on the main Wavelength online game, but the number scale is easier when everyone can simply say, "I think that clue is a 7."
The number version does not replace the original rules. It keeps the same core idea: one player understands a hidden position and gives one clue. The group must interpret that clue on a spectrum. If you need the complete team rules, use the How to Play Wavelength guide.
